Project description:

As part of the project, the thermal insulation of an industrial plant element was carried out whose surface was previously at a high temperature. Significant heat loss was detected prior to insulation, resulting in reduced energy efficiency and higher operating costs.

results:

  • Temperature of the uninsulated surface: approx. 68°C (measured with a pressure gauge)
  • Temperature of insulated surface: 32.7°C
  • Temperature difference: 35.3°C

Heat loss analysis:

Assuming that the initial heat loss was proportional to the temperature difference between the plant surface and the environment, thermal insulation was able to reduce losses by approximately Reduce 52%. This resulted in a significant reduction in energy consumption needed to maintain the required operating temperatures and improved the thermal efficiency of the entire system.

Conclusion:

The thermal insulation with ThermIQ technology achieved measurable results: It reduced heat loss by more than half and significantly increased the energy efficiency of the industrial plant.
