Project description:

In a concrete plant office building in Carinthia, the thermal façade insulation was fitted with the pigmented version of ThermIQ Outside carried out in the customer's corporate colors. The aim was to reduce the heating of concrete walls in order to improve thermal comfort inside the building.

results:

• Temperature of the uncoated concrete wall: 55°C (measured with a thermal imaging camera)
• Temperature of coated wall: approx. 31°C (close to ambient temperature)
• Temperature difference: 24°C, which directly contributed to reducing interior temperatures.

Winter effects:

After insulation, the customer reported a significantly reduced heating requirement in winter. In an office, after the measure, it was enough a single radiator instead of three, which means a significant saving in energy consumption.

Conclusion:

The application of ThermIQ Outside Technology not only reduced the surface temperature of the walls in summer, but also improved the Energy efficiency in winter. Thanks to the tailor-made, colour-matched coating, the project met both functional and aesthetic requirements of the customer.
